Aradhana is a Hindi word meaning an act of glorifying God. Indian Classical dance and music is considered a spiritual art form and therefore one way of reaching Him is through our dance and music.
Although the company was formed at the beginning of 2009 by Jaymini and Sanju Sahai their work has spanned over 3 decades. The aim of the company is to bring people together using Indian Classical Music and Dance as a medium. The company's focus is to develop and nurture Indian Classical Music and Dance through workshops, teaching, residentials and performance work and ensure that the purity and integrity of the spiritual classical dance and music forms are not compromised.
Aradhana was founded in London but operates regionally, nationally and internationally in a variety of distinctive and innovative work ranging from working with young children in nurseries to performing at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
